ALAsc Connection

The ALAsc Connection aims to keep students up-to-date with local ALAsc and national ALA events.

November 2014: ALA Student Members can join the ALA Social Responsibilities Round Table (SRRT) for Free!

Did you that if you are a student member of national ALA, you can join the SRRT for free? SRRT began when students organized in the late 1960s to shake up the ALA establishment. The current task forces are: Feminist Task Force; Hunger, Homelessness, and Poverty Task Force;  International Responsibilities Task Force; Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Task Force; and The Rainbow Project. For more information, see at http://libr.org/srrt.
